Our Commitment
VOGUE USA is dedicated to providing an accessible and welcoming online shopping experience for all customers, including people with disabilities. We actively work to improve the usability and accessibility of our website in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Keyboard Navigation
Our website is fully navigable by keyboard. All interactive elements including menus, buttons, forms, and links can be accessed using the Tab key and activated with Enter or Space.
Screen Reader Support
We include descriptive alt text on all product images, ARIA labels on interactive controls, semantic HTML5 elements, and proper heading hierarchy to support screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Text & Contrast
All body text meets WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements. Our minimum contrast ratio for normal text is 4.5:1. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Mobile & Touch
Our site is fully responsive across all screen sizes. Touch targets are at least 44×44 pixels per WCAG guidelines. Pinch-to-zoom is never blocked. All features work on iOS and Android devices.
Reduced Motion
We respect the prefers-reduced-motion CSS media query. Customers who prefer less animation on their device will see reduced or eliminated animations across the site.
Forms & Checkout
All form fields are properly labeled. Error messages are clear and descriptive. Our checkout process includes visible focus indicators and does not rely on color alone to convey information.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform with the following standards and guidelines:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C
- ADA Compliance — Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for digital accessibility
- Section 508 — Federal accessibility standards for electronic and information technology
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our site may still have limitations. We are actively working to address:
- Some older product images may have generic alt text that we are updating
- Certain third-party embeds (such as social media widgets) may not fully meet our standards
- PDF documents linked from our site may not be fully screen-reader accessible
We are continuously improving and appreciate your patience as we address these areas.
Assistive Technologies Tested
Our site has been tested with the following assistive technologies:
- NVDA (Windows) with Chrome and Firefox
- JAWS (Windows) with Chrome and Edge
- VoiceOver (macOS and iOS) with Safari
- TalkBack (Android) with Chrome
- Zoom text magnification software
Browser & Device Compatibility
We fully support the latest two versions of all major browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera — on both desktop and mobile devices including iOS and Android.
Third-Party Content
Our website may contain content from third-party services (payment processors, social media embeds, maps). While we strive to work only with accessible third-party providers, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of externally hosted content.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time task. We conduct regular accessibility audits, involve users with disabilities in our testing process, and train our development team on accessible design and coding practices.
